Our Food
At Dog Almighty we take the hot dog very seriously. That is why we make our own toppings and use the best products we can find, including 100% beef hot dogs and steamed buns. Our beef chili is a family recipe that uses ground chuck with all the fat drained and is then simmered into a thick, meaty sauce. Dog Almighty takes vegetarians seriously as well. Shouldn’t they enjoy a chili dog just like a meat eater? That is why we make our thick, zesty veggie chili, which is packed full of flavor, to go with a jumbo tofu dog. And sauerkraut lovers, you will love our slow-stewed kraut made with our own recipe. Our desire to make the best hot dog in the world is in every bite.
Our People
When you hire Dog Almighty for your event, you are not hiring just a guy with a cart. You are hiring a group of professionals, each with years of food service experience, managerial experience, and a college degree. We also take the hot dog business seriously and it shows in our work. Besides our people, we have our fleet of carts. Our carts are the same professionally made carts used in New York. They can heat and serve all of our hot dogs and toppings as well as store all the buns, drinks, chips and paper products needed. A hand-washing sink with hot and cold running water is also on the cart for the server and guests. The carts have safety equipment, including a slow-flow-only propane valve and a fire extinguisher. With safety in mind, Dog Almighty is fully licensed and insured to serve food in Travis County, and every employee carries a phone/walkie-talkie at all times. Dog Almighty is a worry-free and cost-effective way to feed your guests and show them a good time.
Miles Stone, recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin School of Engineering, has decided to return to his first love—the culinary arts—by taking the helm of Dog Almighty. Miles’ experience in food service in Austin is extensive, having cooked for Kerbey Lane Cafe, G/M Steakhouse and Hyde Park Bar and Grill, to name but a few. And although he has cooked in eating establishments from Lexington, Kentucky, to Palm Beach, Florida, he will always call Austin home. He has chosen to join forces with his Aunt Jennifer and return to where it all started when, as a high schooler at McCallum, he learned how to make good food at the feet of a former head chef at the Driskill. | |

Jennifer Kress has returned to Texas to join her nephew as a partner in Dog Almighty. An ACC alumna, Jennifer acquired knowledge of the food industry in the mid-80s by working at Tula, as well as the Red Apple and El Arroyo, where she tended bar and was manager. Jennifer attended New York's Fashion Institute after that and has been in business for herself since 1994 as a fashion photography coordinator. Now she is back in Austin to apply her business acumen to the world of hot dogs. After years of traveling back and forth between New York and Miami, Jennifer is glad to make Austin her home once again. She joins nephew Miles, nieces Jenny and Cassie, great-nephew Cotton and sister Lana.
